Therma are located in the southeastern part of the island, about 13km from the town of Kos.
The landscape has a wild beauty, steep slopes, cliffs and dark pebbles; result of tectonic disturbances and volcanic eruptions millions of years ago.
The area takes its name from the hot springs that gush water into the sea. This hot spring water is rich in calcium, potassium, sodium, sulfur and magnesium; substances considered to aid the healing of skin, arthritic and rheumatic diseases and also improve the general condition the skin. The temperature of the water ranges from 30 to 50 degrees Celsius. The experience is invaluable, a natural Spa!
In front of the beach has been created a small lake that is separated from the rest of the beach with rocks that allow seawater to enter and cool the hot water. The beach is suitable for all ages and for all seasons.
You can visit Therma either by bus or by any private means of transportation.
